The following requirements must be met to be eligible for consideration for the Vigil Honor.
     1. Anyone nominated must have been a Brotherhood member for two years or longer at the time of selection by the Vigil Honor Nomination Committee. (July 1, 2008)
     2. All persons nominated must be currently registered with the Boy Scouts of America and Santee Lodge.
